We obtain the best value - best price for the quality.  In Western countries, supplier will still provide the same quality when a lower price is negotiated and if something has to be changed in order to achieve the lower price, there is an expectation that this will be informed by the supplier.   But with a number of Asian manufacturers, they may forgo quality to maintain their target margin with a different internal part, lower grade materials etc.  It is important to place your order with reliable manufacturers which give you the best value.
